Any job that involves exposure to asbestos comes with a risk of developing Mesothelioma or a range of other lung and health conditions. This list does not cover all of the occupations that could have led to asbestos exposure – any kind of job that involved access to areas where asbestos fibres were present could carry the same risk as those working in those environments on a regular basis. For example; a salesperson selling a product that contained no asbestos at all could well, as part of their job, have to visit places where asbestos use was prevalent. Even a Health and Safety officer could, ironically, become exposed to asbestos when inspecting a work premises.
